1. Information We Collect

Account data: When you register, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We store this securely in our database.

Payment data: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card number or banking details — only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.

Usage data: We collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This helps us diagnose errors and understand how the Service is used.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: (a) provide and operate the Service; (b) process transactions and send related receipts; (c) send transactional emails such as password resets; (d) respond to support requests; and (e) improve and troubleshoot the Service. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Cookies and Tracking

We use session cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. Analytics, if any, are privacy-first and do not fingerprint individual users.

4. Data Sharing

We share your data only with the following service providers, solely to operate the Service:

  • Database & authentication provider — account storage and login
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Hosting provider — infrastructure and edge delivery

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or to resolve disputes.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed passwords, and row-level security in our database. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email us at info@skillsui.app.

If you are in the EU/EEA, you have additional rights under the GDPR, including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
